TWO people and a dog were injured after a gas explosion at a roadside cafe between Skipton and Bolton Abbey yesterday.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed two people were taken to hospital to be treated for burns after the incident which occurred at around 6am.
Their condition is not thought to be serious.
The road was closed for several hours near the food shack in a lay-by on the A59.
Firefighters were called to prevent any further explosions as a number of gas bottles were present.
The force of the explosion blew the shack's window out and left scorch marks.
A tray of eggs was smouldering on the roadside and there was debris from polystyrene trays scattered around.
The fire service said an investigation into how the explosion occurred has begun.
