HERE is something you don't see every day - a heron eating a mole.
Keith Jeddere-Fisher took the sequence of pictures through a window at his home in Low Raisgill, near Hubberholme.
"They could be titled something like ‘Langstrothdale mole catcher’", he says.
And we always thought moles had few predators, because they don't taste very nice.
