THE DONKEY Sanctuary is asking Aireborough and Wharfedale residents to help its new research project.

The international animal welfare charity, which has a local base at Eccup, is trying to understand more about public perceptions of donkeys. The project involves asking people to join online focus groups where they will take part in fun activities and discussions that examine the language of popular media.

Senior Researcher at The Donkey Sanctuary, Dr Cara Clancy, said: “This is a great opportunity to learn more about people’s views of donkeys and how everyday language can affect their welfare.

“We look forward to hearing from anyone in the UK who wants to take part in our online focus groups.”

Anyone aged over 18 can take part. To find out more about ‘Donkey Discourse: Investigating public perceptions of donkeys in UK/British culture’ visit https://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/news/have-your-bray-for-donkeys.

As well as caring for donkeys and mules The Donkey Sanctuary runs a donkey-facilitated learning programme which helps vulnerable children and adults develop life skills by connecting with the animals.
