A WASHBURN Valley business is preparing to welcome diners back.

Mackenzies Smokehouse, Restaurant and Farm shop has, as an essential service providing food, been able to keep trading through the COVID-19 lockdown.

Its restaurant, however, had to close to comply with the coronavirus-linked restrictions. Now owners Paul and Gabby Palmer are looking forward to showing people the newly refurbished facility when it reopens - which could be as early as Saturday, July 4, depending on what the Government announces.

The restaurant now boasts a new menu as well as a new look. Gabby said: “Paul and I are so excited to be opening the restaurant again. We are very much looking forward to launching our new menu and we hope you will all come down and try our delicious food.”

Mackenzies also has a new take-away menu that includes paninis, breakfast muffins and chicken club sandwiches.
