OTLEY Courthouse is joining forces with other independent venues this weekend to present an evening of online comedy.
The Your Place Comedy event takes place from 8pm on Sunday, April 19 and will feature live streamed shows (from each of their homes) by Mark Watson and Lucy Beaumont.
Mark Watson is an Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and regular TV panel show guest, while BBC New Comedy Award winner Lucy Beaumont is the writer of Radio 4’s To Hull And Back and star of Dave’s Meet The Richardsons.
The event, compered by Tim FitzHigham - writer and star of Radio 4’s The Gambler and presenter of CBBC’s Super Human Challenge - will be free to watch on YouTube and Facebook, with an option to donate. All money raised will be shared between the ten participating venues, including the Courthouse, which are facing challenging financial times as they remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
