OTLEY’S MP is encouraging people to support Otley Food Bank.
The local food bank helps residents in the town and surrounding areas including Menston, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Guiseley, Leathley and Pool-in-Wharfedale.
They are currently busier than ever due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Alex Sobel (Lab, Leeds North West) has published details of how people can donate - money can be paid directly into the account of Otley Foodbank Barclays Bank, sort code 203713, account number 93368734 - on his blog.
Leeds North and West Foodbank, meanwhile, also needs support. Its website says: “With the unprecedented demand from the coronavirus outbreak we need to urgently rent larger premises. We need to raise £25,000 as soon as possible so please donate what you can to help ensure people get the supplies they need.” Donations can be made at https://leedsnorthandwest.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/.
