MENSTON Arts Club‘s most recent exhibition in Kirklands Community Centre was visited not only by local residents but also from visitors from much further afield. The members worked hard under the guidance of exhibition secretary Sarah Hargreaves to present an exhibition that showcased their talents as painters and craft persons.
One happy result of all this activity was the recent presentation by deputy chair Stephen Ogden of a cheque to Menston librarian Jill Cook to further the good work the library does in the community.
Menston Arts Club has also had a month long exhibition in Rawdon Library and a further exhibition of members work is being planned to take place in Menston Library. This will take place as soon as circumstances nationally change and both Menston Library and Menston Arts Club both reopen. It is with regret that Menston Arts Club has had to suspend meetings until further notice. However members are viewing this suspension of the group’s activities in a positive light as it will enable them to complete more work at home.
