A BELOVED Rhyl institution has received a 24 hour makeover.
A group of 15 Wicked Cinema volunteers, which screens films throughout the year at the Rhyl Little Theatre, gave up their weekend to give back a combined 100 hours worth of work into the venue.
The volunteers, who ages ranged between 14 and 65, were joined at the end by Vale of Clwyd AM Ann Jones, who brought cake and stayed to help with the cleaning.
Rhiannon Wyn Hughes, a cinema volunteer, said: "We were so pleased with the number of volunteers who turned up to help, it was really hard work papering, painting, sanding, cleaning and gardening but theatre and cinema supporters will have a pleasant surprise next time come to the theatre."
Between, the volunteers built on success last year renovating the box office by focusing on the toilets, foyer and heating.
