PEACOCK Bar boosted their title hopes in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Championship with a 5-2 win at promotion rivals East Bierley.

Darren Fothergill bagged a brace, while goals from Matthew Knowles, James Leadbeatter and Daniel Stevens ensured a convincing victory.

It leaves them two points behind leaders FC Queensbury but with two games in hand.

Also in the Championship, FC Dog & Gun sprung a surprise as they beat Heaton Athletic 4-3 at home.

There were only two games in the Premier Division yet they yielded an incredible 28 goals. Both were one-sided affairs as Bolton Woods hammered Northern 14-1 and Oakenshaw won 10-3 at Wrose Bull.

Matthew Addy and David Wright claimed hat-tricks for Woods, as Sam Jordan, Andrew McHugh and Scott Mortimer all bagged doubles.

Jack Rogerson netted a triple for Oakenshaw in their rout, with Marcus Edwards and Patrick Sykes weighing in with two each.

There were also goals galore in Division One when Eccleshill Lane Ends entertained Throstle Nest United in a much tighter encounter - the visitors winning 7-6.

Michael Ruthven and Sam Westerman bagged braces for the winners, who went second in the table.

Joe Broadhead, James West and Harris Khan were on target for RISlondon in their 3-1 success at home to Mill Lane.

Eight goals were shared when Rattlers hosted Bramley United - Joshua Missin, Nicky Ellerton, Jack Wakeling and Chris Bower on target for the home side.

There was another 4-4 draw in Division Two as promotion-chasing Windhill Ajax were held at Delius, for whom Ashley Delaney bagged a couple.

James Hunt claimed a hat-trick for Clayton Albion as they kept up the pressure on leaders Windhill with a 5-2 win at AFC Prince of Orange.
