A RHYL pageant hopeful will play Easter bunny this year to children reliant on food banks and in hospital.

Ysgol Brynheddyd pupil Grace-Leigh Lewis, aged eight, is seeking 100 Easter Eggs to donate to young Glan Clwyd Hospital patients and the King's Storehouse Food Bank.

Miss Lewis will represent the United Kingdom in the Little Miss category at the Pure International Pageant in Columbus, Ohio from Sunday, July 5 until Friday 10.

Chloe Davies, Grace-Leigh's mother said: "She’s trying to get as many Easter eggs together and is hoping the l community can help her reach her target of so no family goes without this Easter. She has also had two soft chick teddies made for the babies at the Special Care Baby Unit.

"She just wants to do what she can to help the community and try and make a difference."
