A NEW manager has taken over at Sainsbury’s Otley - just in time to get involved in Sport Relief.
Jason Le-Roche, previously store manager at the company’s White Rose Shopping Centre, took on his new role in Otley on Monday, March 9. Staff at the supermarket came up with all kinds of ideas to support this year’s Sport Relief - including a silent auction, a static bicycle challenge and a 5K run.
Mr Le-Roche said: “I’m familiar with Otley and I’m really excited to be here where there’s a bit more of a community feel.”
A biennial charity event run by Comic Relief in association with BBC Sport, Sport Relief combines sport and entertainment - while encouraging people to get active - to raise money for some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
