THE Seven Dales Rotary Clubs met last week at The Wheatley Hotel, Ben Rhydding to discuss future plans and events. The group covers Skipton, Otley, Ilkley and Settle.
Andrew Bateman from Halifax, the incoming district governor for The Yorkshire & North Lincs region gave an update on world developments and membership.
Brian Stott, the group’s assistant governor organised the event and plans are now to develop stronger links together and improve communication and a diary of events in the area. Events include a Technology Schools Tournament, Young Chef, Dragon Boat race, Youth Speaks competition, summer and Christmas lunches for the lonely, Santa Run, Merry go Round, Settle Saunter, garden party, Holly Ball, Business Quiz, Brass Band concerts and charity collections.
