TICKETS have gone on sale for a folk evening with a difference in the Washburn Valley.
The musical event will take place in the picturesque setting of Norwood Chapel and Retreat Centre - which overlooks Lindley Wood Reservoir - from 7.30pm on Saturday, March 14.
Otley based folk-rock band Summercross and singer-songwriter Heather Woodhead, from Leeds, will be performing on the night.
Tickets cost £10, which includes refreshments, and are limited so anyone interested in attending is advised to book early.
Cheques made payable to Wharfedale & Aireborough Methodist Circuit should be sent, with a Stamped Addressed Envelope, to: Norwood Folk Evening, c/o 76 The Whartons, Otley, LS21 2BS.
The event is the second folk evening to be hosted at Norwood Chapel and follows a successful, debut night last May.
It is part of a programme of fundraising events that have been lined up, with the support of a Friends group, to help secure the future of the building.
Other attractions taking place during 2020 include a Saturday, July 4 talk by Dr Martin Kappel who came to Britain from Nazi Germany as a child in 1939. Food lovers, meanwhile, can look forward to a talk by Colin Alderson - a former Head Pastry Chef to the Royal Family - on Saturday, November 14.
