YOUNG Catholics from across the UK will take part in a retreat at Leeds Trinity University.

The Leeds Retreat will be hosted by the university for the fourth year running. The event, from February 21 to 23, will be held in partnership with Youth 2000, an international movement which seeks to connect young Catholics.

More than 200 people are expected to attend the event which is based on The Parable of the Prodigal Son and explores the concept of forgiveness.

Thomas Starkie, Youth 2000 Gapper at Leeds Trinity Chaplaincy, said: “What makes Youth 2000 so appealing is that it is run by young people for young people, making Leeds Trinity an ideal location. “

The retreat is open to people aged between 16 and 35. Anyone under 18 should be accompanied by an over 18, and families are welcome. Tickets cost £55 for adults, and £45 for students.
