GUISELEY’S Good Grief Cafe is to become a regular feature after the success of the first event.

The initiative aims to help raise awareness of grief and to give people chance to talk about their loss. The first of the Pop Up Good Grief Guiseley Cafes took place in December. Now further cafes will be held at Guiseley Theatre from 2pm to 4pm on January 24, February 21, March 20 and April 24.

Organiser Heather Cooper said: “The feedback from our first cafe in December to coincide with the First National Grief Awareness Week has been really positive, it was a lovely relaxed couple of hours spent sharing our memories with coffee and cake.

“Paper stars were written on and planted with daffodils bulbs which have already started to bloom in Parkinson’s Park. Beautiful spring flowers full of hope and beautiful memories. Sharing our memories can help us connect with our loved ones and with the people around us.”
