THE ROTARY Club of Otley Chevin has given a warm welcome to its new President.
After six months in the role Bill Baker has handed over the presidency to Roy Tate,
Mr Tate is a Past President who previously held the title from 1994-1995.
At the handover meeting the guest speaker was Julie Lee from Alzheimer’s Society.
She was presented with a cheque for £750 which the club had raised through carol singing in the run-up to Christmas.
Club members have a tradition of singing at local pubs, restaurants and hotels during the festive season to bring in funds for good causes that they support.
Alzheimer’s Society works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia - and their carers - in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
