CARING staff at a Keighley social housing group raised more than £9,000 for charity last year.
Incommunities workers took part in swimming, rowing, baking and walking activities – and a zip wire challenge.
Proceeds went to various local and national causes.
The zip wire event alone raised £1,450, for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
A four-strong team, led by group chief executive Geraldine Howley, coined-in over £1,600 for Women’s Aid by tackling the Great North Swim at Windermere.
Residents at some of Incommunities’ retirement living schemes helped raise £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support, through coffee mornings and cake sales.
And an end-of-year raffle brought in £2,061 for homelessness charity, Bradford Nightstop.
Mrs Howley said: “It’s been another fantastic fundraising year, with charities big and small benefitting from the generous support of staff, residents and the group as a whole.
“It has also been wonderful to share in the positive experiences of staff in their fundraising for charities, many of which were nominated by colleagues.”
