CITY left back Jackson Longridge has joined Torquay United on an initial one-month loan.

The Scot has failed to make an impact at Valley Parade, making just four competitive appearances having signed from Dunfermline Athletic in the summer on a two-year deal.

Longridge joins the Vanarama National League Gulls until February, though Torquay boss Gary Johnson said it could be for longer.

He said: “We feel he is the type that we need at this present time. It’s a month's loan initially, with a view to extending it if both clubs agree at the end of it."
