STRAVEN House Care Home in Ilkley is raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society by raffling off a very cute Dumbo the Elephant.
Andrea Pearson, the home manager, said that Dumbo was very kindly donated to Straven House by one of its residents’ closest friends and that they wanted to use the opportunity to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society as it was a charity close to their hearts.
Dumbo is currently at Clip n Climb, at Unit 17, Station Plaza, Ilkley, where people can purchase a raffle ticket for £1 until January 9.
A spokesperson said Clip n Climb was very excited to host Dumbo for this great cause and hoped that Dumbo will find a loving home after Christmas and be enjoyed by the lucky winner. The draw will take place at Clip n Climb on Friday, January 10, the winning ticket being drawn by one of the residents at Straven House.
