A GUISELEY-BASED physio company will be treating musicians across the UK under a new pilot project.
The Incorporated Society of Musicians and the ISM Members’ Fund will be proving fast and free access to treatment through Physio Med.
Research among ISM’s10,000 members show that musculoskeletal injuries and conditions are one of the biggest issues facing professional musicians.
Phil Clayton, Managing Director of Physio Med, said: “MSK injuries can happen to anyone and musicians are no different. Any job which involves sitting in the same position for a length of time or holding something – such as an instrument – in a particular position can be a challenge physically so we are looking forward to providing practical support to ISM’s members.”
Physio Med employs 20 people and has a network of more than 2500 senior Chartered Physiotherapists.
