CHURCHES Together in Ilkley (CTI) will be hosting a Hustings meeting prior to this year’s General Election.

All six candidates in the Keighley constituency have been invited to answer questions at the meeting that will be held at All Saints Church, Ilkley on Monday, December 2nd at 7.30pm.

Churches across the UK are hosting hundreds of similar meetings where the candidates will be able to answer questions put by members of the audience. CTI are providing this opportunity particularly for members of the public who haven’t yet made up their mind to hear what the local candidates have to say in this key marginal constituency.

Following the recent televised hustings, this local version will aim to keep the pace moving by using a Question and Answer format. Questions can be emailed to: hustings@benrhydding.co.uk or be brought on the night by 7.15pm.

The new Moderator of Churches Together in Ilkley, Simon Myers, is particularly excited that within just a few weeks of taking over as Moderator Ilkley has this opportunity for the Churches to help bring a decent level of debate to the election campaign.
