DRAGONS are coming to Otley - but there’s no need to flee.

The Christmas Snap-Dragons is the new production from Otley Players and will be performed in town this weekend. Written for the group and set in Victorian Otley, the drama is ‘a fun and uplifting Christmas play about two quarrelsome children and their long-suffering servants and parents’.

The action takes place on Christmas Eve when the children’s Aunt Jo comes to stay and, tired of their continual bickering, tells them the tale of the Christmas Snap-Dragons - creatures who appear each December 24 to teach anyone who’s been naughty a lesson.

An Otley Players spokesperson said: “Come and join us for this magical play which is completely free due to the kind support of Otley Town Council. No pre-booking is necessary, just turn up: but come early to avoid disappointment.”

The performances - suitable for all ages - will be held at the Black Horse Hotel at 4pm on Saturday, November 30 and then at 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, December 1.
