OTLEY residents have had a chance to share their views on local health and care services.
The Big Leeds Chat is a consultation exercise designed to inform the development of Local Care Partnerships - including one at Otley and Yeadon.
Interviewees visited Otley recently to ask people in the town centre and at Otley Town Council’s offices on Orchard Gate, three questions: what do they love about where they live, what do they do to keep healthy, and what steps could be taken to make this a great area for health and wellbeing.
Hannah Davies, one of the Big Leeds Chat team and Chief Executive of Healthwatch, Leeds said: “We’re really excited by Local Care Partnerships and their potential. If they are to work people’s views will be at the heart of that success.”
Councillor Ryk Downes (Lib Dem, Otley & Yeadon) added: “It’s important to listen to people so it is good to see The Big Leeds Chat coming to Otley.”
