OTLEY and Ilkley choral Societies will jointly be performing Haydn’s wonderful oratorio “Creation” on Saturday, November 23 at Otley Parish Church.
The choir have recently been working with Musical Director Tom Newell, who has been bringing his experience and passion for choral singing to rehearsals since September.
Tom is a popular conductor on both sides of the Pennines and has a well-established reputation for directing both choral works and opera. Tom directed the choir last December for their popular sell out performance of Messiah.
The choir will be joined by three talented soloists from the Royal Northern College; Danielle Sicari will be singing soprano, Christopher Littlewood tenor, and Thomas Hopkinson, bass.
The performance will be accompanied by Thomas Moore, the accomplished and well know organist from Wakefield cathedral, Thomas Moore.
Tickets are available from Brown’s Gallery in Otley, The Grove Bookshop in Ilkley, or at the door on the night: £15 and students under 18 are free.
