AIRIENTEERS had some notable successes at the Yorkshire Championships near Barnsley.
Some of the terrain was very runnable but other areas were very green. The courses were made more challenging than usual by drizzle and some steep, muddy embankments, leading to some very mucky O-kit.
Sue Stevens, Tony Thornley and Adrian Hall, all from Ilkley, overcame the weather and the mud to be crowned Yorkshire champions in their classes.
Tom Crowther, from Guiseley, and Joyce Marshall from Burley-in-Wharfedale also won their classes.
Airienteers' next local event is at Danefield on Wednesday.
