THE DEADLINE for local secondary school place applications to be submitted is approaching.
Leeds City Council is advising parents and carers to get their forms in - for children starting secondary school next September - by Thursday, October 31. Families are encouraged to visit www.leeds.gov.uk/admissions to complete a secure online application process.
For those who do not have access to online facilities other options can be discussed by calling (0113) 222 4414.
A range of information is available to help families submit their preferences, including from the schools themselves. The council’s website also provides details from previous allocation rounds along with links to Ofsted reports and information on admissions policies.
Families are being advised to use all five of the available preference ‘slots’ and to give the address where their child lives for the majority of the time in their application.
For more details call (0113) 222 4414.
