A BRIDGE club marked its 45th anniversary with a celebratory dinner.
More than 40 members of Kirklands Bridge Club attended the event at Otley Golf Club.
Club president Dorrie Waugh, who started the Menston club with three friends, gave a welcome speech, which was followed by a champagne toast. A celebration cake featured four figures playing bridge, complete with 52 playing cards and fireworks.
Vice president Nigel Moulden and former vice president Carol Cowell, praised Mrs Waugh for her hard work and unwavering commitment to the club. She was presented with a crystal trophy featuring a blue star.
Mrs Waugh gave orchids to Carol Cowell, Angela Evans and Margaret Smith, all founder members who continue to attend. She also presented the Dorrie Waugh Slam Trophy to Joan Moss.
