A NEW digital marketing apprenticeship has been launched by Leeds Trinity University.

The university will be the first in Yorkshire to offer the Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship, which takes three years to complete and starts in April 2020.

It will include modules on content marketing, e-commerce strategies and campaign management, as well as a BA Professional Practice in Digital Marketing. It is aimed at current and aspiring digital marketing executives, search engine optimisation specialists and account managers.

Claire Newhouse, Head of Apprenticeship and Skills at Leeds Trinity University, said: “The digital sector in Leeds is facing a huge skills shortage with more roles than trained individuals. The programme meets the needs of employers who are looking for enthusiastic apprentices, who can work from day one whilst developing the skills and knowledge in marketing, tech and consumer behaviour.”

The university is holding a drop-in session on Tuesday, November 12 for anyone wanting to find out more. It will take place from 3.30pm to 5.00pm at Blueberry Marketing in the city centre. Details are on Eventbrite.
