POLICE have seized an untaxed car even though it was only bought the day before.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit found the black Volkswagen in Bradford during the early hours of this morning.
The car had a valid MOT until October 24, 2019.
But, its tax ran out on July 24, 2019.
Officers subsequently seized the vehicle, following the checks.
The driver had purchased the car yesterday, but did not tax it.
A warning on the DVLA website reads: "If you've just bought this vehicle the tax or SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) doesn't come with it.
"You'll need to tax it before driving it."
