A FUNDRAISING gin tasting evening will take place in Otley next weekend.

Wildlife Friendly Otley has teamed up with the Black Horse Hotel and Sloemotion Gin to organise the Saturday, October 26 event.

Starting at the Black Horse at 6pm, the evening will include a talk by Sloemotion Gin founder Joff Curtoys about how he created his business with a focus on conserving wildlife.

Mr Curtoys will also be introducing participants to varieties of gin that have been created using natural ingredients from the hedgerow.

He said: “We’re very excited to collaborate with Wildlife Friendly Otley and The Black Horse. Wildlife, especially birdlife, is very important to everything I’ve done and I’m excited to share the Sloemotion story with you all.”

Andrew McKeon of Wildlife Friendly Otley added: “Our thanks go to Sloemotion and the Black Horse for an event that helps our endangered wildlife whilst enjoying a unique local gin that helps nature conservation.”

Tickets cost £11 - £1 from each will go to Wildlife Friendly Otley - which includes three gins and a talk and are available from the Black Horse, Otley.
