NEW information boards have been installed at an Otley wildlife site.

The display panels, along with new fingerposts, have been introduced to help guide visitors to Gallows Hill Nature Area. Designed by a member of the Friends of Gallows Hill, the boards provide details about the flora and fauna that can be spotted.

The project was supported by Otley Town Council with the signs installed by volunteers from the Friends group and Harrogate-based charity Open Country.

Otley Town Council Chair Richard Hughes (Lib Dem, West Chevin) said: “Gallows Hill is an important asset for Otley and we are keen advocates of initiatives where we are working with our community and volunteers to deliver such a worthwhile project.

“We very much hope that the information and photographs on display will help people get the most from their visit.” For more information visit the Friends of Gallows Hill Facebook page.
