A FASHION show and a pop-up shopping experience to set to bring in even more money for Ilkley Candlelighters.

Following on from their hugely successful May ball at Rudding Park in Harrogate, where over £30,000 pounds was raised to support children’s cancer services in Yorkshire, Ilkley Candlelighters are raising money again for this fantastic cause.

Ilkley Candlelighters are putting on a Fashion Show and Pop up Shopping Experience at Ilkley Rugby Club on Friday, September 27 at 7pm.

Tickets are £15 and include a glass of fizz. There is also a charity raffle. There will be up to an amazing up to 75 per cent off many major high street brands such as Boden, Hobbs, Jaeger, Zara and more.

A spokesperson for Ilkley Candlelighters said: “Candlelighters fund vital research into childhood cancers and the Leeds General Infirmary is at the cutting edge of research. More children today are cured than ever before. However the work continues.

“In addition, Candlelighters provide many of the extras not available on the NHS from play therapists to family counselling for parents, patient, siblings to grandparents.

“They provide family facilities, children’s play areas and games, teenage patients age appropriate areas where young people can ‘chill’ and have some normality. They also found everything from holiday breaks to chairs that can fold out into beds so parents can be with their children at the most difficult times.

“Every penny raised by Ilkley Candlelighters goes to support these services in Yorkshire and Humberside.

“The money this fashion show raises will contribute to support services already in place, maintain facilities and vital research while allowing people to enjoy a pleasant evening and hopefully bag some bargains as well.

“The Committee of Ilkley Candlelighters hope that people consider supporting this event and would like to extend their thanks to all those who have supported past events, including local businesses.
