LEEDS Bradford Airport introduced a ‘quiet terminal’ to help passengers relax before their flight this summer.
The trial saw the airport scale back loud announcements to improve “passenger wellbeing” - only airing late boarding calls and emergency announcements.
The move to ‘quiet terminals’ has been made by airports around the world, including Helsinki, Munich and Sydney.
The trial was in place between August 15 and 17 as part of a push to improve passenger experience and create a quieter travel experience.
Leeds Bradford will review whether the ‘Quiet Terminal’ could work in the future, with extra support given to anyone requiring additional assistance.
An LBA spokesperson said: “We continued to support those requiring special assistance and of course want to maintain our airport’s inclusivity.”
