ACTORS and singers are being recruited to perform along the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway as part of a major festival.

Keighley Arts and Film Festival (KAFF) is producing the theatre piece entitled Time Train for performances on Saturday, October 12.

Sue Dyde, who is leading the project, said she was looking for a diverse cross-section of unpaid extras to take part in ‘moving period tableaux’ on each platform along the railway.

No acting ability is required, and there will be no auditions or lines to learn. People will need to attend “two or three” rehearsals at Keighley Creative Space in Hanover Street.

Sue is also seeking costumes and artefacts from various time periods, including the Victorian era, both world wars, the 1960s and 1970s. She needs a British 1940s vehicle.

KAFF is also looking to singers of all abilities for a Festival Choir to be led by internationally-known musician, singer, composer and choir leader Shane Durrant.

Sue said: “He has a modern, fresh and friendly approach that helps even the least confident singers blossom.
