A TEAM more used to pizzas than the pathways of the Yorkshire Dales has completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise more than £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff from PizzaExpress in Ilkley were joined by area manager Matt Holwell on the gruelling walk, which took them about 11 hours. They also completed a static cycle ride. Manager Tom Scott said: “It was certainly more challenging than we anticipated and practised for but the team showed great resilience in persevering for such a good cause. We raised over £3,000 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support in just over one week. This is an achievement that we are incredibly proud of here in Ilkley. This achievement has also been recognised nationally with our restaurant here in Ilkley raising the most of any of the company’s 607 restaurants! Not too bad for a small Yorkshire town!”

The participants in the walk were: Amy Collins, Tom Scott, Jez Richards, Halid Aganovic, Tina Ahmed, Lucy Poole, Matt Holwell, Dan Goddard, Katie McEwan and Francois Foltier.
