LARGE crowds turned out in Otley last weekend to take part in a ‘thoroughly enjoyable’ Food and Drink Festival.
The 2019 event was held in the town centre on Sunday, July 14 and featured more than 50 stalls selling a variety of fresh local produce plus street food.
The annual festival is organised by Otley Town Partnership, who were delighted with the turnout.
A spokeswoman said: “The lovely weather meant that everyone was able to sit around and eat the delicious food on offer whilst listening to live music and enjoying the happy atmosphere.
“Children had their own entertainment, with free bun decorating and face painting.
“And the cookery theatre, which is always a popular feature, included demonstrations by chefs from Otley and the Farmers’ Market and was hosted by Simon Chappelow, the Head Chef at Leeds Cookery School.”
Ward Councillor Sandy Lay added: “It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and I thank the organisers and everyone who helped make it happen.”
