AN excellent batting display and a six-wicket haul from Joe Hall saw Burley-in-Wharfedale through to the final of the Waddilove Cup.

In the cup semi-final on Sunday, Burley clashed with Beckwithshaw - the latter winning the toss, putting Burley out to face the music.

A strong innings from the Burley order included an impressive Charles Davy knock of 84 from 101 deliveries.

Jackson Grubb (42) and Nicky Bulcock (41) also chipped in with solid performances to round off a sizeable total of 279-6.

Bowler Joe Hall then took 6-45 as Beckwithshaw were bowled out for 232.

In the second semi-final, North Leeds beat Horsforth Hall Park by 82 runs.

Callum Carson scored 67 and North Leeds scored 147, as Jonathan Postle took 3-32.

After teas, Barry Singleton (4-16) made light work of the Hall Park batting order as they were skittled out for 65.

In the Awards Galore T20 cup, Calverley St Wilfrids took the spoils in their semi-final at Colton Institute.

A 79 from Calverley’s Dan Hall contributed to his side's total of 163-6 and the chase proved too much for Colton.

Nav Panesar (3-20) and Tom Simpson (3-30) were in the wickets as Colton finished on 153-8.

Ben Rhydding lost by 42 runs at Saltaire in the second semi-final.

The hosts did all the groundwork with the bat, as Amjid Hussain’s 60 was a big contribution to the 194-4 total, a target that proved too much for Ben Rhydding (152-9).
