Otley Leg Club has held a fundraising Summer Fete.

The event took place at Clifton Village Hall on Saturday, July 6 when Town Mayor Councillor Peter Jackson and Mayoress Fiona Jackson declared the fete open. Proceeds will help the club, whose nurses treat local people with lower leg health conditions, buy more equipment.

Cllr Jackson said: “I was delighted to open the fete - the sun was shining and so much happening. A pony from Hope Pastures paid a visit to allow children and adults to pamper him, Guide Dogs for the Blind had a stall selling goods and a bouncy castle was set up for the children.

“And for a mere £3 you got an afternoon tea whilst listening to great songs. Otley Leg Club provide a great service to our community and I thank all the volunteers who helped organise this fabulous day.”
