A DRIVER who admits seriously injuring two men in a crash in Ilkley has had his sentence adjourned for further medical evidence on one of his victims.
Aaron Menzies, 25, of Aire View, Brunthwaite Lane, Silsden, was re-bailed to attend Bradford Crown Court on July 12.
He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to causing serious injury by dangerous driving to Benjamin Warriner and Craig Williams by driving a Vauxhall Astra dangerously on Skipton Road, Ilkley, on October 12 last year.
Menzies’ barrister, Ken Green, said he was hoping to be sentenced today but the court was told that medical evidence relating to Mr Williams’ injuries was not yet available.
Louise Pryke, for the prosecution, said a doctor was preparing a report detailing the treatment Mr Williams underwent after the crash.
Judge Neil Davey QC told Menzies: “I am very sorry that sentencing can’t take place today. Essential medical evidence is not yet here.”
