THE FULL list of prize winners from this year’s Otley Carnival have been announced.

The 2019 event was held on Saturday, June 15 and attracted big crowds despite some unsettled weather.

Otley Carnival Committee’s press officer Nigel Gill said the parade judges - Ann Whiers from Harrogate Grammar School and Colin Whiers from Selby Sixth Form College - had been impressed. He said: “The carnival judges had yet another difficult decision due to the high standard of floats, and they found it difficult to choose the winners.”

The Whartons Primary School, for its Learning Through Time parade entry, was awarded the Lyon Landscapes Challenge Shield for Best Overall Float or Walking Group.
