FORMER Bulls captain Scott Moore has joined Championship rivals Swinton from Rochdale.

The former Super League hooker makes the move for the remainder of the season, with Kyle Shelford joining the Hornets in the swap deal.

Moore resumed his career at Rochdale at the start of this season after being jailed for his part in a police chase.

He joined Bulls in 2017 and became captain before his career came to a sudden halt.

On signing the 31-year-old, Swinton boss Stuart Littler said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to announce the signing of Scott Moore from Rochdale.

“Scott will bring us vast experience and a high level of understanding of the game. He has been involved at numerous high level clubs and was a leading player in our previous Championship match up at the Summer Bash.

“After several talks with Scott and him being a personal friend, I know he is coming here for the right reasons and I know exactly what he will bring. This signing is an exciting one at a really exciting and pivotal stage of the season."

Moore, who looks set to come up against the Bulls at Odsal on July 14, said: “I’m really happy to get the chance to link up with my good mates in Stuart and Andy (Mazey, chairman) and the boys at Swinton and have a refresh and change of scenery.”
