MYSTERY fans will be able to enjoy a double bill of Agatha Christie plays in Otley this month.

Otley Players will present Afternoon at the Seaside and The Patient at the Methodist Church on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

There will be two performances on Saturday, at 2pm and at 7.30pm, along with a 2.30pm show on Sunday.

Afternoon at the seaside is a light-hearted comedy about a detective who is trying to find a priceless emerald necklace - and the culprit who has stolen it.

The Inspector has to investigate an array of unusual characters as he tries to crack the case.

The Patient, meanwhile, is a tense thriller which follows the story of a woman, Mrs Wingfield, who has been hospitalised after apparently falling from her balcony.

As she is unable to communicate, the cause of her injuries remains unknown until, as relatives gather around her bed, an ingenious device allows Mrs Wingfield to convey a message that could solve the mystery.

Tickets cost £5 and will be available on the door - they can also be booked at www.ticketsource.co.uk .
