TOWN Councillors have congratulated Otley Courthouse for winning a prestigious award.
The arts venue was recently presented with a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the work it does to serve the community.
Otley town councilors took the opportunity to praise the achievement when they met on Monday, June 10.
Chairman Councillor Ray Georgeson (Lib Dem, Danefield) said: “This is a wonderful accolade for the Courthouse and a testament to the hard work and commitment of their fine team of volunteers, as well as the service they provide by providing space for many voluntary groups to thrive.
“The town council is delighted to record its congratulations.”
Two representatives from the Courthouse attended a royal garden party for this year’s award winners at Buckingham Palace in May.
