AN OTLEY teenager has been praised for delivering an ‘awe-inspiring’ fundraising concert.
Emeli Mumford was joined by local children - who she has been working with at singing workshops - when she presented A Night at the Musicals at Otley Parish Church on Saturday, June 1. The 17 year old was recently given an Otley Achiever Award in recognition of her fundraising work for Save the Children.
The Musicals show was also raising money for the charity, and Town Mayor Councillor Peter Jackson was among the 90-strong audience.
He said: “I and my consort Councillor Jo Allen were honoured to be invited to the concert by Emeli. From start to finish she had the audience in awe with her breathtaking vocals, singing songs from an array of musicals that the audience of all ages could relate to.”
