FOUR local charities received donations totalling £1,700 from Ilkley Wharfedale Rotary Club at the club’s weekly meeting at the Riverside Hotel.
The money has been raised at Rotary events and at recent supermarket and street collections.
Rotarian Jo Jarvis presented the cheques to Ilkley Good Neighbours, Ilkley Community Transport, the Addingham Hub Project and Community Action Bradford and District (CABAD) .
“Our club is very pleased to recognise and support the work of local groups like these, who operate with minimal overheads and lots of volunteers trying hard to help the people in the local community.” she said.
Thanking the Club on behalf of the recipients, John Bray of Good Neighbours said: “We are very grateful and will ensure the funds are used well.”
