‘ACHING all over but glad I did it’.

That was how Manchester Arena bomb survivor Caroline Davis felt after completing the Great Manchester Run’s 10k route on Sunday, May 19. Caroline and best friend Wendy Fawell, both from Otley, were in the arena’s foyer on May 22, 2017.

Wendy was one of 22 people who died in the blast while Caroline, though wounded, survived. Caroline, 41, set off on Sunday’s run to honour her friend’s memory and raise money for charities that were set up following the atrocity.

She said: “I’m aching all over and have blistered feet but I did it. The atmosphere was great and I got very emotional when I saw the finish line and my family.”
