ANDREW Robinson took his season's best figures of 7-31 as Yeadon strengthened their hold on the Championship Two leadership with a crushing 10-wicket win over Altofts.

Robinson and Paul Machell (3-11) bowled out Altofts for just 44 before openers Robert Smith (25no) and Gareth Lee (18no) sealed victory in just 9.3 overs.

The result puts Yeadon 19 points clear of Carlton and Jer Lane, who experienced contrasting fortunes last weekend. Carlton enjoyed two wins while Jer Lane went down to two defeats.

Jonathan Rudge made it 13 wickets in two days as he claimed 5-36 in Carlton's two-wicket win over Adwalton, who are now propping up the table.

Despite half-centuries from Matt Donohoe (56) and Josh Bennett (52), Adwalton could only muster a score of 148.

Carlton didn't find it easy knocking off the runs but Kyle Cleobury (45) and Steve Copper (33) ensured they bagged another win. Akmal Saleem (3-37) and Donohoe (3-32) bowled well for Adwalton.

East Ardsley's 65-run win over Jer Lane was their second of the season. South African James Van der Merwe produced a match-winning performance for them.

He was joint top scorer with Joshua Wild in his side's 232 all out and followed up with 5-42 as Jer Lane were bowled out for 167. Gary Jennings (43) made another important contribution for East Ardsley against the bowling of Amjid Khan (3-45) and Daniel Syme (3-50). Overseas player Hazrat Shah (52) was top scorer for Jer Lane.

Liversedge lifted themselves off the bottom of the table when they defeated Hunslet Nelson by 33 runs to record their first win of the season.

Graham Winn took a match-winning 5-19 as Hunslet Nelson were bowled out for 90 when they replied to 10-man Liversedge's 123 all out in which Sohail Hussain scored 55 and Alan Sumner 33. Glen Thompson took 3-15 for Nelson.

There was a thrilling finish at Bowling Old Lane where the home side pipped Northowram Fields by just one run.

Old Lane were indebted to a sixth-wicket partnership of 92 between skipper Farakh Hussain (65) and Ahsan Butt (56) after both had been forced to retire earlier in the innings. Ayaaz Akram (47) also made useful runs in a total of 245 while Sam Gardner took his tally of wickets for the season to 21 with 3-60.

John Lister (49) kept Northowram Fields in the hunt but it was an unbroken seventh wicket stand of 68 between Josh Bennett-Kear (45no) and Gardner (27no) that took them agonizingly close to victory as Northowram Fields finished on 244-6.

Spen Victoria hit 331-9 - their highest score of the season - as they bounced back from their heavy defeat against Carlton with a crushing 240-run win over Hopton Mills.

Opener Sam Gatenby (94) and Bilal Ejaz (88) set the tone with a second-wicket stand of 138. Chris Allen swelled the score with 49 despite the efforts of Michael Carroll (5-83).

Hopton Mills crashed to 71 all out as Abid Awain (5-23) and Adil Ladak (3-34) sealed Spen's third victory of the season.

Birstall gained their second win in two days at the expense of Buttershaw St Paul's, who suffered their second defeat of the weekend.

Sair ur-Rehman took 5-35 as St Paul's were bowled out for 121 when they replied to Birstall's total of 194. Ben Gundry top scored with 69 for Birstall while Pritesh Mistry took 4-28 for St Paul's.
