STAFF at a Yeadon company raised more than £2,000 to help fund research into motor neurone disease.
Eight people from Schofield Insurance Brokers completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on April 27, raising £2,076. A further £310 from coffee mornings and cake sales has added to the figure, bringing them close to their target of £2,500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.The company has supported the charity over the years since the death of its founder Michael Schofield in 1994.
Company managing director Gary Holland,who took part in the walk, said: “This was a great effort for a great cause – I’m sure Mike Schofield will have been very proud.”
