CHILDREN in Pool-in-Wharfedale have been scooting for a good cause.
Children from Pool Pre-School Group took part in a sponsored scooter event to raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF).
Pre-School manager Vikky Campbell organised the activity after a parent had asked if something could be done to spread awareness of, and support, the fund.
The children ended up raising £788 and their efforts were recognised when mascot Katie Bear and Lisa Edwards, from CHSF, visited to accept a cheque.
Lisa told the pre-school: “The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund is funded by generous donations from the general public, corporate supporters and by the amazing efforts of our fundraisers.
“Well done and thank you.”
CHSF support children and adults with congenital heart disease across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
