ADDINGHAM Allotments and Gardens Association held their 39th Spring Show, with the event enjoyed by both exhibitors and visitors.

A spokesman said entries in the flower classes were slightly lower than last year but this was probably not surprising as the unseasonably warm weather in early spring and the heavy frosts in the last week provided an extra challenge to producing good quality blooms for the day of the show.

The staged exhibits in the flower classes made a fine sight in the hall along with the entries in the other.

The spokesman said potential exhibitors should note this is a friendly village show, that standards are not intimidatingly high and that everyone is very welcome and encouraged to enter.

Thanks were expressed to the Association’s committee, friends, exhibitors and the judges who collectively made the show a success.

The Association would also like to thank Mr and Mrs Hollins for generously donating their prize winning orchids to be auctioned to raise funds for the Association.
